Our Tale

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. It's the excuse to get dressed up, be creative, and bring friends together. In 2015, I decided to have my very first Halloween party. There wasn't much to it, but I was excited. Unfortunately, it wasn't the experience I was hoping for when only one person showed up. After that, I was told I shouldn't bother putting on another one the following year, because no one would show. I'll admit I was a bit disappointed, but I was also thankful for that one person, and we had a great night with it being small and intimate.

The next year, I decided to try again. I didn't care if only one person showed up, I just wanted to celebrate my favorite holiday by creating cool decorations and costumes. Each year since, we've been able to add more decorations, create new games, and push our creative limits. And every year, more and more friends and family have shown up to celebrate. What once started as a very small gathering has now become a talked-about and anticipated event.

I cannot express how happy I am that we get to celebrate 10 years of making memories. I've learned so much over the last decade, and I'm excited to see how much more I learn. We will see where Grosstober goes in the next 10 years. This passion project of mine has only been possible because of my own determination, and friends like you who have come to celebrate and support this endeavor. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Whether it's donating decor or costume pieces, volunteering for setup, bringing something homemade for catering, or contributing financially. Every bit helps make the next year even better.
